Warrior Farming Guide

Hey all. Here is the warrior farming guide that I promised I would put together. I hope that you find it useful. Most of my examples are based on my personal experience, advice from HTA’s many helpful threads, SioKanla’s guide on warriors, the cool calculators of MacSeoin and AsianPlayer, and discussions with J.C. Demon. Suffice to say that without all the information that I found on this forum I would not have been able to come up with all the ideas required to make this work, so I thank you all who helped me in the past and in the future.

So let’s get down to it.

DEFINITION
Warrior farming can be defined as the act of quickly self leveling a warrior character in order to get a db at level 110, get a super gem at lvl 120 or get blessed gears at 120. It also has the side effect of allowing you to rb you main's gears to low levels allowing you another chance at releveling your equipment and thereby giving more chances at getting a socket in them.

EQUIPMENT
Recommended Equips:

This is very much dependent on your equips and your socs. Having at least 30-40pct drags will help tremendously. My personal recommendation is that at a minimum you have at least Elite +3’s for your armor/helm/neckie/ring, an elite +3 2 soc wand, and boots of any kind (but with high dur). I also recommend that you have at least 1 to 2 more socs in your gears so that you can place dragon gems in them. I do not recommend having rainbow gems until you have at least 30-40 pct drags. You can theoretically be lower in the drag percentage, but then it will really start affecting how quickly you level. Also try to avoid using super items because the cost of metting them up is way higher and will cut into your profits.

If you have different equips:
Since we’re all different, here are some handy links to calculate damage and defense if you have a different setup. I would use my recommended equips as the baseline, with the goal being that your equips be at a minimum as close as possible to the recommended equips. As for using a different weapon, I recommend that you do your best to use nothing but a wand due to the snow skill. If you decide to use something else, or if you have a glaive, poleaxe, longhammer, halbert, or club that is way better than the recommended weapon, you could consider using it instead. Just be warned that your leveling rate will definitely decrease because none of those items can match snow in their skill hit radius.

If you fall short on equips, here are the item lists and the plus attribute tables that I’ve used in the past to see what I should upgrade first.
Items list:
http://www.conqueronline.com/guide/items/items.htm
Plus attribute table.
http://bbs.conqueronline.com/showthr...hreadid=238632

Then I plug it in here to verify.
MacSeoin’s calculators:
http://emjay2.googlepages.com/

With that complete, it’s time to strategize and make a shopping list.

There are two main strategies that to follow for war farming :
  • Buy/get all the items you need for the chars before you start farming and then farm.
  • Buy/get some of the items you need for the chars as you go and level.

I chose option 1 because it costs a lot to get all the equips needed before hand and I do not have that much cash lying around to just have that massive of a setup.

Items that I recommend you have to save time when farming:
  1. 2kk in silvers for each char. This only covers:
    • o Repairs
    • o city scrolls
    • o pots
    • o snow scroll skill.
  2. 250-350 meteors for leveling equips. (Other than the one met for each char’s lvl 100 promo, this number does not change if you level more than one char at once. Also note that this total assumes that all your equips are elite only. If you have supers, the meteors you need will increase by a factor of at least 2 for each item you are using.)
  3. 1 Emerald for each character you are farming.
  4. 1 Moonbox for each character you are farming.
  5. 3 to 4 Lab2 tokens for each char.
  6. 2 to 3 Lab 3 tokens for each char.
  7. 1 to 2 Lab 4 tokens for each char. (Optional, but not having them will make getting 116-120 take longer.)
  8. Cleanwaters for each character you are farming.
  9. One of each different type of gem to combine with the cleanwater to make a rb stone. (7 total different gems)
  10. Exp Pots ( I don't recommend buying exp pots. Just use the ones that you get from special quests or when TQ decides on having special double exp events.)

Note 1: If you don’t have all of the items above you will need more silvers/cps to buy those items or you will need to spend time getting/making them.

Note 2: If your soc percentage, item quality, +’s are higher/lower than what was used for this guide you may have to increase/decrease the number of lab tokens needed.

Advantages over water farming:
  • Chances to socket your main’s equipment because you will be reborning it over and over.
  • Ability to bless your main’s items.
  • You can be an apprentice to your main and thereby giving your main experience points, +1 points, and bless time from the free bless stones.
  • Lower overall startup costs versus water farming. (You only need one set of socs/don’t need to be full soc to farm effectively.)

Disadvantages over water farming:
Your main’s equips will be used, so if you want to level your main, you’ll need some extra items to play around with.

Equips used for farming in the making of this guide:
Except for a +5 super ring, all other items were Elites in the +3-5 range
Soc percentage 40 drag, 30 rains.

Also if you are attempting this for the first time I recommend that you do no more than 2 warriors at once.

First thing to do is plan and strategize for next steps as to where to level and items you will need. This will help a lot with dealing with unforeseen things happening. (Credits to j.c. demon for mentioning this to me.) My brain just goes to plan mode without thinking. XD

LEVELING
Plvl/vps

You can get plvled until 50-60, but after that I don’t recommend it. This is because leveling you weapon skill will then become a pain and you will be wasting time leveling up that skill. If you are having trouble leveling the wand skill of course tg is your friend. XD

Doing the flame lit quest is something that should be considered even if you just do the first 3 stops. I recommend doing this especially if you are doing multiple chars at once. I like to make 5-10 warrs and do the quest. If you're like me and don't play much, you can do this over multiple weeks, thereby gaining most of your low levels by this method.

Something that I do is when my warrs get to lvl 80 or so, I create new warrior noobs for me to plvl. This way I get vps that I need for lab and at the same time I’m preparing the next batch of warriors that I will be farming.

Just Plain leveling.
HTA’s superman guide gives a good range as to the attack you will need to 1 shot what mob with sm. SioKanla’s warrior guide lists even more mobs for this purpose. These two links elegantly sum things up the way you’ll want to do it. For those of you who don’t want to read them all, do so. The information is invaluable. For those of you who still don’t want to read, I included a small section of ideas to level after level 55.
HTA Superman Guide
http://bbs.conqueronline.com/showthr...hreadid=389405
SioKanla Warr Guide
http://bbs.conqueronline.com/showthr...hreadid=379874

Depending on you defense, upon reaching the 87-97 range you will want to have at least 2k vps to start going to lab. I’ve attached HTA/Sumeshi’s Lab guide. Again this is an invaluable tool that you’ll need to reference. Another good alternative is Mystic Castle, but there are usually more people at this location making the chaining of superman more difficult.

HTA/Sumeshi Lab guide attached:
http://bbs.conqueronline.com/showthr...postid=5628957 - post5628957

Ideas/locations to level if you have better equips/want to save investing on lab 4 tokens.
With the advent of Potency, and the use of superman, you should be able to fight mobs of a much higher level much sooner, with the goal being early on to get to slowapes/snakemen by lvl 55 and hillmonsters/rockmonsters by lvl 60. These are the best places that I know of to semi-chain sm at low levels.

Upon reaching 67 to 70, if you have elite +4 to +5 armor, helm, and neckie, you may want to try leveling at birdmen. If you manage to chain sm, you will go from 67 to 70 in about 15-20 minutes. I know that it is possible with an elite +3 lvl 65 wand and elite +4 lvl 63 heavy ring (50 pct total drags). You will still take 80-140 damage, but should be able to pot it off as you sm.
You can level from 115-120 in lab 3 if you have trouble getting tokens to lab 4. I came close to cycling sm between the spawns at 579,410 and 690,445 at lab 3.

With the coming of patch 5022, the spawn sizes in Mystic Castle, especially red/bloody devils, and bats have increased in size. Making leveling at MC a semi viable option. (Especially if there is at most only 1 other person in the spawns you choose to use.) Another advantage is the fact that you may not need vps (or just less of them) and may need less lab tokens.

Farming more than 1 char at once:
To maximize your profits, I recommend that you do farm at least 2 warrs at once. Just make sure that you keep track of the levels of skills of each char to make sure you don’t level an item to the point that one of your chars can’t use it.

Reminder: If you have trouble getting noobs to show up when trying to get vps, make a new warr noob and plvl it for later farming purposes. I mentioned this in the Plvl/vps section, but I can’t emphasize this enough.

As for the cycling of items between the chars, unless you feel you are doing well killing mobs, I would level each char by 5 levels (so that you can get the wand/2h weapon leveled) and then cycle to another char. I break this rule most often in lab, because I try to stay as long as possible. The experience gain is just too good and don’t want to waste vps/tokens and therefore keep the number of trips down.

Additional Perk for Warrior farming: With the coming of patch 5022, make all your warriors apprentices to your main or any other char that you would like to receive the exp ball bonus/award. If the mentor is on as well, the farmed warrior will receive additional potency, which will help increase the rate at which your farmed warrior gains experience.

This concludes the warrior farming guide.

I consider this a rough draft guide right now, so if you have any comments/additions/edits/recommendations, let me know, and I’ll revise.

Happy farming!

It's a really good guide.

I can't think of anything left out (possibly because it's 6am), but you'll be the first to know if I do.

Good work. It was getting a bit difficult flicking through the however-many pages of your other thread :P

EDIT: I would add it to sig but I can't change it -.-

I agree about the flicking thing. I'm thinking about doing my experimentation/findings on that one since it's messy and that once I distill any new information, I'll add it here.

Thanks!

As for the weapon level problem, could you give me some details about the weapons you are using and what mobs you are attacking and if they are green/white/red/black.

The reason I ask is because even if I have one of my warrs plvled by a friend to level 55-60 I have yet to have a weapon level problem.

This really depends on your equips, offense, defense, and how good you are at keeping sm chained and where you level. So any answer I give would only be a guess. Just remember that even a small change in any of these things can mean a big cut in time. *Channeling HTA with last sentence in this paragraph*

For example.

By just improving my sm strategies and adding one plus to my armor and neckie I can now level at birdmen at lvl 67. I managed to get 3 characters from 67 to 80 in under 4 hours. The previous time I did this, it took me 7 hours and I did it to only 2 characters.

So I did the exact same thing as previous except I leveled one additional character and did it in almost half the time.
